How it works
Let us take you through Tim's scores
With Tim’s survey results and the key locations he wants to live near shown here, a score is calculated by summing all of the scores of the points that lie within a certain distance of different locations.

Which tube stations are within Tim's budget?

We hold data on the average cost to live around each London tube station. Based on Tim’s budget, the tube stations are narrowed down to show the affordable ones. The green ones are within budget and the red ones are without.
Once removing the tube stations that are out of Tim’s budget, the next stage filters out the ones that are too distant from his friends and work. Once again the green points show the tube stations within range.

Which tubes have Tim's desired supermarkets within 1km?

The locations are narrowed down once through adding in a filter that requires at least one of the desired supermarkets to be within 1km away from the tube station. We can see that the amount of tube stations has reduced considerably.

A count of points of interest around the top 5 tube stations, displayed in a table for Tim so he can cross comparison to see what lies within 1km of these tube stations.

A geographic review of Tim's top 5 locations

The scores around each station are summed up and the top 5 locations with their score heatmaps are shown. The boundaries represent the area within a 250m, 500m, 750m and 1000m range.
A more detailed view of the top scoring location is displayed, showing Tim his most important points in that area, as well as tube stations and supermarkets.

Tables are available for each location displaying its rank, the number of points of interest within 1km, distances to key locations, spreads of the score that lie in different distance bands and more. A detailed review of the supermarkets in the area is also provided.
